Buddy

George: Buddy was Deb's dog when we first met. Every morning when I would go to work, I would walk by Deb's apartment to my car. Buddy could hear me leave from my upstairs apartment. Buddy would continuously jump by the sliding glass door until I reached in to petted him. From that moment on, Buddy was my dog. Unfortunately, Buddy never made the trip to Alabama. He passed away in 2015.

Lafayette

George: When Deb and I moved to our rental house in Chesapeake Beach, we added Lafayette as a kitten. He was named after the Basset Hound in the Disney animated movie, The Aristocats. Buddy "tolerated" Lafayette. Buddy didn't like sharing. Lafayette would mess with him on purpose. It was funny to watch. Lafayette made the trip to Alabama but passed in 2019.

Major Mattis

Deb: I was getting the puppy itch once we moved to Alabama. It has been a few years since Buddy had passed away. I was not really looking for another dog but, I had an eye doctor appointment and the receptionist there was trying to find a home for some puppies that her dog had 6 weeks earlier. She had one male left, I called G, and he said I could have him. We went that evening to pick him up. One of the best things we ever did.

Sadie Belle

Deb: Well, Sadie is the dog that picked us. She was the neighborhood "stray" dog that had owners, but they let her roam. She would come by and visit on occasion, and we got to know her very well. Someone in the neighborhood finally told us her name. If you know G, you know why she visited us. Her owners were looking to rehome her, so we took her in. She is an amazing "little Lady".

Our Granddogs

Theo

Deb: What do we say about Theo? Well, he is a snowball of clumsy, cuddly, mohawk, and Goatee wearing crazy guy. We love him with all our hearts.

Ranger

Deb: AKA Ranger Danger. Can you believe someone gave him up? He is the silliest, snuggliest, and the youngest little man of them all. He loves to run everywhere he goes. So glad his Brian and Marie brought him home.
